I am sooooo proud of you!

Ok, so the day that I signed up for college was like a big deal for me, because I had been out of High School for 5 years and have a 2 year old child.

Well guess what?

I know someone that has been out of High School for 24 years, has a 22 year old daughter, a 8 year old daughter, and a 2 year old grandson, and is now enrolled for the first time in college. This amazing woman will be taking the same class (CNA) as her smoking hot daughter!

Mom, I am soooo proud of you. I love that you are getting involved in the community! I love that you always ask for my help in doing flyers for meetings and community events (blood drives ect) even though, I might act grouchy! I can't think of anything else I would rather you nag me about! *lol just kidding*
I am sooo proud of the amazing woman, mother, and grandmother that you are today!

I know that you are going to do a wonderful job with this whole new college experience, and I think you are right lately in saying that everything is working out for the good for us...... all of us!

I love you Momma, and I'm glad we are both back to normal :)

Weird

Why when a cat, has the whole house still finds a cramped area??

Oh, and Tristan too!!

Glider Update

The sugar-gliders we brought home from vacation last month are really warming up! A few of the pics aren't so great, because they were taken with Will's phone, at night.
Sugar Gliders are nocturnal, so they are only up at night!
Little Girl aka-Squirrel is really the brave one! She would be the one to bite, given the chance. She has absolutely no problem with jumping out on me, and running around like a crazy woman!
Little Boy(not so little) aka-Moose is the bashful one! He is sooo skiddish, hes really warming up, but I know its gonna take more time for him to be comfortable outside the cage!
I'm glad to see that they are learning that they are not confined to their cage, and are getting some guts to explore!!

New Recipe for the books!!

Will and I are all the time cooking, and looking for new and exciting recipes! We love just about all the same foods, which works out good when its time to make the dinner menu!!
This honey citrus chicken completely rocked!! With the twice baked potatoes and rice...... Mmmmm Yummy!!
Today will be a day, I don't dread leftovers!!

Mom's Favorite Daughter

Ok, for the record, I (not my 8 year old sister) am my Mom's FAVORITE daughter!

This has been a long standing joke since my sister was born. *Wink Wink*

The other day my mom bought my sister some socks that say "princess". My little sister and I have this weird 14 year difference rivalry(that might never go away). So in a normal situation where I found out my sister got something new, my initial response would be to say to mom.... "well, what did you get me?"

Normally not much :)

That day my Momma was really on her toes so she picked me up some socks that say "Hottie!"

So all of this is really funny right? Not really I know, but what happened with those socks is undeniably so!!

ENJOY!

Hahaha! My 2 year old son........ THE HOTTIE!!

To Tristan's Daddy.... I'm sorry lol, I promise this won't make him any less of a man, I couldn't resist!!!

To My Momma- I still know I'm the Favorite!!! :)

Wild Life Outside City Limits

I was minding my own business driving down the road along with my usual crew (Tristan, Mom, and Hope) when I suddenly stopped. I put the car in reverse, then I really started getting some weird looks... I can't stand animals being hurt, so I stopped and picked up this little baby turtle that was in the middle of the road!!
I went ahead and let him ride with us to the house, because we could almost see it, and I figured the yard would be a nicer place to release this creature back into the wild, as opposed to the road, where I found him.
I love seeing Tristan get a kick out of things! He kept saying over and over "Awww Mommy, he's soooo cute!!"

After we talked about not keeping the turtle (thank goodness today wasn't a day he wanted to fight me, because who needs a cat, two sugar gliders, and a turtle? NOT ME!!) we let him go in the yard, by a mud puddle!

Ok, so this next one is a little weird, but it is animal jealousy surfacing right here at our home! Ever since I moved in with will, we have seen Cardinals everywhere, we joke that it is "our cardinal" (actually everyone we see is "our cardinal") so when another bird left us a feather by the doorbell, I think its time that we show the other birds in the neighborhood some love too. (Will be posting pictures of feeders soon!)

This is definitely one of my favorites. In our front yard, we have a nice sized apple tree! The deer go absolutely nuts over this apple tree!! We are constantly running out the door to grab something and seeing them there stealing what apples they can!

Will took this one with his cell phone, so its not really clear!! Hope we have apples left for pies!

Will and I live literally 200 yards outside of city limits, but we always seem to see the wildlife!

Keeping It Together

Things have been very hectic lately, with work, school, and Tristan!

I love all the above, I just wish there were more hours in the day! I am fixing to get in gear for my Psychology Final. Since I elected to take this class in the summer term, everything is crammed together, in a shorter more condensed version. My final is Wednesday the 29th, then my last day for that class will be Monday Aug 3rd, if I so choose to go and find out what my grade is (which I will, because I can't stand not knowing!) then Im done!

I will then have to switch gears, and my first official step towards nursing will start! I will have approximately 3 weeks of time before things start getting super crazy.

When my CNA class starts 2 days a week I will be a zombie. I will have to come into work a little early (7-ish), to get off at 3:00 to be at class at 4:00 (in Robinson), and will be making the great drive home after an amazing 16 hour day..... no breakfast, lunch, or supper included. :) (I think I'll buy stock in granola bars to keep in my car so I don't starve!!!)

With all these changes going on in my life right now, Im really excited to be getting to do something that I honestly thought was out of my grasp!!

BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE MOMS OUT THERE THAT HAVE WORKED FOR SOMETHING THEY LOVE TO MAKE A BETTER LIFE FOR THEIR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!

Watermelon Mission Accomplished

My son Tristan is the worst at trying new things! I have to bribe, and sneak to get him to try anything new. For the most part, Tristan doesn't really care for much with red sauce. Of course, there are a few exceptions to this rule.

So, tonight, I bring home a watermelon, and figure, he will want nothing to do with it, in part because its red (really its pink I know-but that is kinda reddish..... come on geesh!). He knew what it was, but thought that he was supposed to eat the seeds. hahaha. That was the part he kept calling the watermelon!!

I don't like watermelon..... It took much coaxing and debate, but mission accomplished, Tristan likes watermelon!!

"My Pool!"

Ok, my mom decided that she wants a pool, sounds simple enough right?

WRONG!!!!!

We look at Walmart online, and find what we want, call Effingham to make sure they have it they do, so we head that way.

Get to Effingham, find the pool, get it loaded into the cart (which is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life) so finally after we stop laughing we got it into the cart.

Easy enough, done right......... NOPE!

So Mom decides that she should probably consult with her landlord before making this large purchase and having to go through all this again. We already have the pool chemicals in the cart, and all that good stuff. Mom can't reach her landlord, so she wants to just leave with everything in the cart. At this point, my patience with this whole experience is done!!!!!! DONE!!!!

I snap "No Mom, we ARE getting this pool, I don't care if you have to put it up at my house..... that pool is leaving this store with us, TODAY"!!!!!!

I finally convince her to try calling back......... she got a hold of the landlord, cleared it... and we headed to the checkout. At this point, I'm still thinking that its a great idea to put it up at my house........ granted Mom was buying this pool for my 8 year old sister lol. My Momma really didn't like this idea!

We got home, made a few calls for water, and started assembling it. My sister was being a pain, and not helpful at all for being the new recipient of a pool, so mom just told her. "Fine that is, I am gonna put this pool up, and your sister is going to swim in it." Hope says "NO, its my pool"!

Mom replied with "This is Ashley's Pool, now go inside!"

At this point its 10:00 at night, we have already had a Truck stuck in Mom's yard and short about 15 foot of hose from the truck not being close enough.

We called Uncle Charlie, and got some hose! Drained the tank, got the truck out, and called it a night.

The pool got the rest of the way filled next day!

Don't ever rush or complain about a pool assembly process.......... or your sister gets the pool.

So the pool is still at Mom's and its still "mine" :)

Tristan is turning into quite the fish! I love the little floatation devices that are built right into the suit! He is in "my pool" every chance he gets!!

5 Minutes

Ok, so my day was super swamped!! I honestly love all my customers and I try to make the day light with laughs, jokes, and goofing off!

Today I came home grabbed the remote (I never watch TV anymore) grab my phone to post something.

So tonight Im gonna kill the phone, TV and everything technological (except the A.C. lol) eat some ice cream, and just take 5 minutes!!

When Art and Breakfast Collide

Most of the time, I spend my time trying to convince my son to eat his food and not play with it. The other morning though, I just let him go! I think its important to let his creative side shine!

How precious!

He is getting so big these days, its hard to remember that he wants to do everything by himself! It makes me sad to know he doesn't need me sometimes, but it also makes me feel blessed to see how much of a little man he is growing into!

Weekend Fireworks!!

We met up with Grandma Chrissy, Grandpa Chris and the boys over at Uncle Andy's and had a great supper!!! Tristan decided he wanted to ride with Grandma Chrissy and Symon, so Will and I followed behind!
Nothing ties a weekend together like a family outing to see some fireworks!
We had a wonderful view

Tristan was such a good boy! He loved sitting on Grandma Chrissy's lap and watching the show! He is very very partial to her, and I can see why! I hope when I am a grandma, I look half as good as her!

What a good looking bunch we are!

I sure do love summer!!

Movie Review

Two Paws Up!

What a cute movie!! Will and I took Tristan to see this movie, and what a blast!!!

It was nice for our family to get out and do something together!
Tristan even got his very own super big popcorn and soda.

Really

For a while now I have really thought people were growing up.

Well today I was proved wrong.

I had a psychology midterm today, that I was late for because I had to call the police to get someone leave our house who just wanted to scream, yell, and threaten to beat up Will. What a joke..... I guess acting like you are 12 and screaming and cursing in front of a 2 year old is cool now? I think not.

Good thing I studied and the instructor was cool! Im soo sure I aced the test! It only took 10 minutes, so class was short!

I just wonder why all this keeps going this way. I understand you people don't want me to be happy ( which is stupid, because when Im happy so is Tristan... I do what's important for him always), but I am.....

Its a waste of your time to make snide false comments, because everyone knows who you are, and how you really are!

So Im gonna snuggle with my little boy and enjoy him since I have him until the 7th! Just wanted to get this off my chest!

Told you I was done wrestling pigs!
