Merry Christmas!!!!!!

I know that I will be way to busy tomorrow to remember, but I just wanted to wish everyone and their families a Very Merry Christmas!

DEC. 17th Tristan's Birthday!

On December 17th, my baby turned 2.... It just doesn't seem right!

He opened sooo many presents and was just sooo happy! I have sooo many pictures and will have them up soon!

We had an eventfilled evening, equipped with stops all over town... Grandma's, Grandma Margarets, Staci's, and Kathy's!!!

I have soo many hopes and dreams for Tristan, and every day with him is a blessing!

Im sooo late in posting this, because after I got back from Florida, I could care less to look at a computer, I just wanted to snuggle forever with my little man!

Florida!!!!

Well, things have been crazy busy for me lately!
I had to fly down to Florida short notice to go see my grandmother in the hospital! It had been over 5 years since I had been home, so it was about time! I loved seeing my family and spending time with them all.

My cousin William (16 years old) is growing into such a handsome boy.... I wish I could have had 100 more of those hugs! I went and watched his soccer game, and when they were heading in for half-time, he spotted me and gave me the biggest hug ever. It was sooo amazing to see him in front of all his macho friends, and he didn't care. I miss him dearly!

Wylie (21 years old) has and always will be a perfect gentleman... I have never met a sweeter person in my life!

Grandma just about had heart failure when I walked into her hospital room in St. Augustine, because she had no idea that I was coming! I asked that it be kept a secret!
My brother Chase is getting soooo big, I loved our day at the beach! He was soo little when I left, and he had gotten sooo big!.

I'll always be a Daddy's girl at heart, and I love my family for EVERYTHING they have done for me.

I know that my family in Florida taught me to be a lady, and I will never forget that!
The hardest part of this trip was leaving Tristan at home..... His dad didn't want me to take him. It was the longest I have ever been away from him, I don't care to ever be away from him that long again!!!

I know I know!

Well I know that I have been super busy and have neglected my blog.... but if I have had a good excuse!!!!!!!!!!! I have had company from Florida! My very good friend Harry, who I had not seen in several years came to visit me for a whole week! We had such a good time, and caught up on a lot of things. Its nice to have a break from reality once in a while. My life gets so hectic and full of drama, its hard to remember to stop and smell the roses! I did get "Florida Fever" when Harry was here, but I'm sure that will soon pass, as long as winter quickly gives way to spring! While its always nice to have company....... its always nice to see them go home too! HAHA! Is that just me?

Little Visitor

Tristan and I had company the other day, Baby Emma!! Cyndi and Seirra came by so Tristan could have some time with her. What a joy!!! My little guy who is always on the run and wanting to fight and wrestle melted for Emma! He wanted to look at her and just talked to her! I saw a more gentle side to "my baby" and I loved it! Tristan has been around several other children, but very few small babies, so its reassuring that he can put down his normal bruiser tendencies and be a lover too! We are gonna have to set another playdate! It all started with him just wanting to look at her, but he had to be right beside me because his mommy was holding someone else! He was very skeptical at first about me holding Baby Emma
Then all of the sudden, he decided that he wanted to touch her!! So we told him to be very very very careful and to do it gently! He was ever so gentle, and just talked to her sooo sweetly!

Then before I know whats going on, Tristan tells me, "I do it mommy, I feed baby!" I was so excited that Cyndi, my wonderful friend (and great photographer this day) captured the pictures so well!!! My only regret was that we couldn't get one fast enough of Tristan giving her kisses!!
We can't wait to see you again Baby Emma!!!!!!!!!!!
XOXOXOXO

BISCUITS BISCUITS BISCUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tristan loooovvvess to go to Kathy's house. It is a treat in itself for him, not only does he have all his special Kathy toys, but he gets to see Kathy and Red... Oh, and Sam (their dog). We spend a lot of time with Kathy and her family because they are always such a joy to be around. We were at Kathy's the other day, and we took this picture, I couldn't help but put it up! Tristan was searching for a BISCUIT! Not a buttery yummy biscuit but a biscuit for Sam! Sam and Tristan have developed a very close relationship in the last year! When we get to Kathy's house, Tristan hollers to get out of the car, without fail, Sam is there barking, as if to tell me that I am not doing it fast enough. When I finally get Tristan and his bag out, Sam and Tristan are so excited that they both can't stand it! When it was warmer, we would always go sit on the deck, and Sam would follow. Now I think they are both going through withdrawal because of the cold weather. Sam doesn't like the fact that she is outside and Tristan is inside. So what does Sam do??? Well if we are in the Kitchen, she is at the kitchen door barking. If we are playing with Tristan's toys in the Dining Room, Sam is barking at the Patio Doors. If we are in the Living Room watching ball or cars with Red, Sam is barking at the Front Door. So what is their solution, Tristan will hear her bark, and decides that Sam needs a Biscuit! That is fine, but when she starts barking again, he thinks she needs another one! Granted he tells her to sit, then to stay (with arm extended, mind you), she really doesn't need this many biscuits..... So when we tell him no, he goes to Kathy, and says "Little One, Sam wants a Little One." This one little comment melts Kathy until she says OK! Ha Ha. Well needless to say, either they both need rehab...... Sam is an over eater, and Tristan is the enabler!

What do we Do?????

Little Things!!

When Tristan does or says something that's funny, I tell him "Tristan you are silly!" For a while now, he has been putting sentences together, but lately I have been getting this one, and it gets me.... "No, Mommy Silly!" This goes on and on, gets louder with each response and can keep going until I give in and say "OK Tristan, Mommy is silly too!" Then we can both laugh and be happy with the outcome.

Now really, look at the picture.... who's the silly one?? Ha Ha!! Thanks to the person that taught him this and thought that is was funny! When my child goes to 1st grade wondering why Mommy is making him wear his pants on his bottom instead of his head, I will have Tristan call you for an answer.... and when you tell him its just silly..... I'll be waiting and laughing..... hysterically!

Potty Progress

It just kills me how excited Tristan always is to use the Potty! The funny part is that he feels the need to strip down to naked before he can get on the potty! It really makes me chuckle. This is something that Tristan pretty well has taken to on his own, of course I encourage him, but I am always excited to see that he takes the initiative. Anyone who has ever been around my son sees his independence and has got to laugh. Tristan is such a joy and such a wonderful child, that everyday is a new adventure. I am anxious to see what every new day has to bring to his list of accomplishments, but on the other hand I am hesitant to rush the next day. I don't feel like my baby should be turning 2 next month! Time flies when you are having fun, and that is one thing we know how to do together!

Chicago Bears!!!

One of my absolute favorite things to do is to get dressed up with Tristan and watch the Chicago Bears play football. He is getting so big and knows so much already!! It just blows my mind that he will be 2 years old next month!! Before long will be throwing the ball for real instead of yelling at the quarterback to "throw the ball!!!" I really hope when he is older he still thinks it is cool to watch the game with mom......

Trick-or-Treat

I had so much fun taking Tristan Trick-or-Treating! We stopped first to see Aunt Karen, then went to see Grandma Margaret, then we went to Stacis, Grandma Fords, Grandmas, and last but no least Kathy's!! Last year was fun for me, but this year was fun for him. My son running around asking for candy dressed as a Doctor was priceless! He is growing and changing so much these days that it really hits me sometimes how quickly life passes! Oh Grandma Margaret helped to spruce up his outfit by sending him out with rubber gloves! Thanks Grandma! We love all of you, and were so thankful for the warm welcome you always give us!

I wish I could be sick for you!

You know when your little one is sick, and you just wish you were the one feeling badly instead. That's me today! I stayed home with Tristan today, since he is having a hard time again...... I wish there was some magic fix to make him better, but I know tender loving care, and some quality time to watch Donkey (from Shrek) and snuggling will help his spirits!
